The Medical Billing and Coding Experience
at Remington College in Mobile, AL

We train our students to code real-life scenarios and produce operative reports. Students use the latest systems and guidelines, including Medisoft, a software programs commonly used in today’s doctors’ offices and hospitals to document patient care. Each instructor works hard to make sure our students understand the materials and reach their individual educational goals. At the end of the program, our students get a chance to participate in an externship opportunity, applying their learned skills by working side by side with professionals in the field!*

Our medical billing and coding diploma program offers industry experienced and qualified instructors who have worked in the field and can bring their experiences to the classroom. They take pride in preparing students with career-focused technical training, along with providing exercises in résumé building and interviewing and tips on searching for job opportunities in the field.

The Medical Billing and Coding Diploma Program provides training in the basic elements of coding for the healthcare and insurance industries. The curriculum covers medical terminology and abbreviations, computerized medical billing, medical records management, compliance, and coding for medical office applications and hospital applications.

The objective of this Program is to prepare graduates for entry-level positions such as insurance billing clerk, medical biller, and collections and billing clerk.

Program completion normally requires nine months for full-time students.
